About Enhydra Demos

Introduction

Enhydra Demos project is a collection of demo applications. Enhydra Demos contains many applications demonstrating various aspects of Enhydra tools and technologies like :

  • EAF (Enhydra Application Framework) is a collection of Java classes, which provide the runtime infrastructure for Enhydra applications.
  • XMLC is the presentation technology that supports the needs of designers, developers and architects alike, delivering what JSP cannot - strict separation of markup and logic in a true object view of dynamic presentations.
  • DODS (Data Object Design Studio) is an open source O/R mapping tool with a difference.
  • Barracuda, is an open-source Presentation Framework designed to make it easier to build servlet based webapps.
  • Flash
  • FOP (Formatting Objects Processor) is the print formatter driven by XSL formatting objects (XSL-FO) and the output independent formatter.
  • XSLT , language for transforming XML documents into other XML documents.
  • WAP (Wireless Application Protocol)/WML ( Wireless Markup Language )
  • VXML (Voice Extensible Markup Language)
  • Axis (Web Service)
  • etc

enhydrademos-6.x.jars

File that contains binaries of applications, "run" scripts and configuration files configured for standalone running process under Enhydra 5.1 server .

How to run application from enhydrademos-6.x.jars

To run the application: cd to the applications directory and execute the run script.

Jar files needed for running (all) applications are located in directory "shared_lib", and application specific jar files are located in applications directory ("lib" subdirectory).

To use the application: Connect your client device to: http://localhost:9000

IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to be able to run these applications as enhydra servlets please be aware that your system should recognize java command.

Windows:
Standard j2sdk installation process will place java.exe file on your PATH (environment variable). Nevertheless, if you are experiencing some difficulties with starting appli- cations please be so kind to include %JAVA_HOME%\bin directory in your PATH (evironment variable)!

Linux:
If you are experiencing some difficulties with starting applications please be so kind to include $JAVA_HOME/bin directory in your PATH (evironment variable)!

enhydrademos-6.x.src

File that contains EnhydraDemos source files (Source files of sample applications, EnhydraDemos tools, ant build files, build scripts (Windows, Linux), etc.).

enhydrademos-6.x.wars_included

File that contains binaries of applications and configuration files packed in war files together with all (libraries for every sample application) additional libraries (needed at runtime). War files need additional configuration which is explained (in detail) in readme.txt file located inside this file.

enhydrademos-6.x.wars_shared

File that contains binaries of applications and configuration files packed in war files. All additional libraries (nedded at runtime) are appended in separate directory. War files need additional configuration which is explained (in detail) in readme.txt file located inside this file.

enhydrademos-enterprise-6.x.wars_included

File that contains binaries of applications and configuration files packed in war files together with all (libraries for every sample application) additional libraries (nedded at runtime). War files need additional configuration which is explained (in detail) in readme.txt file located inside this file.
